Modula Fire Fighting

Modula FF: the fire fighting system

There are various ways to extinguish a fire, but they all affect the four factors in the “tetrahedron of fire”, the combination of which results in the chemical reaction that causes any fire.

As a result, there are four ways to put out a fire:

Fuel reduction or isolation

Oxygen reduction or isolation

Heat reduction

Blocking the chain reaction of the factors above

The mechanism, used in our warehouse fire fighting system, is based on a condensed aerosol of potassium carbonate, mainly involves the fourth factor in the tetrahedron of fire via chemical reactions with flame free radicals, thus interfering in the combustion process.

Our automatic fire fighting system uses a completely non-toxic extinguishing agent, consisting of very fine solid particles (with a diameter of less than 10 micrometers). Particulate matter remains suspended in the air much longer and leaves a smaller amount of residue in the protected area than other extinguishing methods. When the density of particulate matter (aerosol) in the immediate vicinity of the flame is correctly sized, the extinguishing capacity is very high.
